Scooby Doo Butter Mask

Byron personalizes it to the mask of power: “Mark where his carnage and his conquests cease! He makes a solitude, and calls it peace.”

What appears in smoke? Where there’s smoke it’s burning buildings or crematoria working overtime or dust stirred by herds of the hungry displaced or bulldozers turning dry ground for mass graves or thinned crops flaming empty markets.” Smoke from over there, enigma and origin, classic example of the signification, of what appears as a sign.

Fred pulls the mask, Daphne pulls the mask, Scooby pulls the mask, Velma pulls the mask, Shaggy pulls the mask. Repeat repeat. Remove heads, mustaches, hair, wigs, entire massive bodies, reveal homunculus within. Mystery-machine-monster-mask-mystery-machine-monster-mask-mystery-machine-monster-mask. Villain and villain revealed, many many unmaskings. Not supernature but lies and manipulations and fakery. Monsters rendered middle-aged white guy with half-assed domination plan. Essence of Scooby Doo or Scooby Doo essence? “And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for you meddling kids!” The Mystery Machine makes peace solitude continues on its journey.
